I loved the picture and the detail, but when I received the boots I was disappointed. The detail in the ankle wasn't as visible as it is in the picture. Also, I was hoping for a more vintage worn look and I was disappointed to see a very manufactured look. I'm keeping the boots hoping that eventually they'll grow on me.

My Perfect Winter Boot
I settled for a less expensive pair (the Sassyfran) and was not pleased. When I finally decided to go for my Vagabond boots, I was put off by the bad reviews that had appeared. I'm happy that I stuck with my instinct because these boots are amazing! I love the sturdy look and feel of these boots and I don't feel that they look unfinished or of poor quality. They certainly don't look like the cookie cutter equestrian boots everyone has, but that's exactly why I wanted them.
The shaft is is a bit big on me (especially around the ankle), even so I like that it doesn't sag (this is why I disliked the Sassyfran boots). The leather is pretty thick, of great quality and bends only where it needs to. They're extremely comfortable. I usually wear a 10 but ordered a 9 due to the reviews and they fit perfectly. Maybe the look of these boots is unusual to some, but I think they're beautiful and the exact winter boot I've been looking for:)

Different in person
Loved this boot when I saw it online, but when it arrived I was surprised at the appearance. The leather is worn but looked more scratched then a worn look. Also the leather piece around the ankle was not sewn to the rest of the boot which made it apprear incomplete. Really wanted to love these boots, off to search for another pair.

For small calves and stitching not right
I was so excited when I ordered these boots but they were a let down for me. first, they are not made for large calves. Second, the stitching of the panel that goes around the ankle seemed hap-hazardly done and of poor quality. These are going back. The leather is nice, as all of the Nine West boots are. But for the price, it was not a good value for me.
